Kenapa
PPSMI dimansuhkan selepas enam tahun ia dilaksanakan? Mungkin atas sebab politik? Atau sebab tekanan dari rakyat? Atau sebab kerajaan memang prihatin atas masa depan pelajar-pelajar? Atau sebab cikgu-cikgu yang tidak mencapai tahap yang dikehendaki bagi menjayakan PPSMI ini? (cikgu juga yang menjadi
scapegoat. Selepas ini beban beralih pula kepada cikgu BI??). Yang pastinya,tiada kata maaf dari pihak pelaksana itu sendiri.
Aku teringat temuramah antara Astro Awani dengan seorang Prof di UM. Beliau berkata "PPSMI adalah kesilapan terbesar yang dilakukan oleh kerajaan dalam sistem pelajaran Malaysia". Errmmm...PPSMI dah mansuh, baru berani bantai kat tivi?
Yang aku dapat simpulkan ialah berkemungkinan menteri atau pegawai-pegawai di Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia membuat keputusan setelah membaca buku yang bertajuk
F in EXAMS ini? Agaknya...
Buku ini juga membuktikan bahawa tahap kecerdikan seseorang itu tidak bergantung kepada tahap penguasaan bahasa inggerisnya. Bahasa Inggeris ialah
mother-tongue bagi pelajar-pelajar di UK, tetapi ia tidak bermakna mereka cukup 'terer' dalam subjek
Science dan
Maths.
